Type 321 is a chromium-nickel stainless steel and with the addition of titanium, type 321 is resistant to intergranular corrosion. Type 321's general corrosion is less than Type 302.  Type 321 is used where resistance to intergranular corrosion is required and where the parts are subjected to sustained heating or cooling within the range of 800 to 1500u00baF. Type 321 is commonly used in applications such as exhaust stacks, manifolds, and ring collectors.
